Founder & Executive Director

Alonda Malone is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of It Takes a Village Ohio, where she leads with a powerful mission: creating safe, structured, and supportive environments for vulnerable youth and families.

Her leadership is deeply personal.

After the tragic loss of two of her children—and later stepping in to raise her grandchildren—Alonda turned pain into purpose. What began as survival became a mission to help others find stability, healing, and hope. Today, her work is rooted in trauma-informed care, with a strong focus on structure, dignity, and long-term success.

Alonda studied Business Management at the University of Cincinnati and Xavier University and is a Master Certified Life Coach. She previously served as Director of Operations and Vice President at Legacy Residential Homes, where she led program development, compliance, and daily operations.

With over 20 years of caregiving and leadership experience, Alonda continues to build pathways to independence, stability, and generational success—ensuring that no child or family has to navigate life’s challenges alone.
